Alchemist 8 #0038 - PolyMap
This guitar is my Master’s Thesis in Electrical Engineering at ETH Zürich. The custom developed PolyMap Pickup System allows for every string to be sampled in 8 locations and simultaniously recorded. This is achieved by digitizing all 64 channels in the guitar and then sending out a single digital signal to the computer. A custom VST plugin allows you to choose which pickups are active as well as configure various effects.
